Mike Tiktinsky Photography

Camera:  All photos are taken with a Hasselblad medium format camera.  Negative/slide size is 2.25 in by 2.25 in (6 x 6 cm). 

Film:  for color slides, either Fuji Provia or Velvia. For black and white, Fuji Acros Neopan 100 with an exposure index of 50 and developed in pyro or Fuji Neopan 400 also developed in pyro.

Scanner:  Minolta Dimage Scan Multipro.  Slides and negatives are scanned in 16 bit, 3 color channels.  All slides or negatives have a scanned size of almost 300 megabytes.

Printers:  Epson 2200 and 4000 with ultrachrome inks for color prints. Epson 1280 with piezography quad tone inks for black and white.  The black and white inks are pigment inks and have great longevity.  The color ultrachrome inks have good longevity according to Epson, but their original 100+ year estimate has been revised downward.

Paper:  Legion photo matte for black and white. Epson Luster for color.  All paper is archival.

Matting:  All photos are matted on acid free archival 4 ply board  The overmat is also acid free archival and 4 ply.  Mike does his own mat cutting with a Logan mat cutter.
